Get To Know Me

Hi! I’m Amanda! I have been married to my husband Matt for 11 years and we have two beautiful boys ages 2&5! I enjoy the sunshine & camping in the warmer months, being snuggled up with sweats a warm blanket and a good show in the winter, and love spending time with my family and friends!

Serving new families is a calling I have had since I was a little girl. First, it came with my obsession for babies, shortly followed by my admiration watching the strength of a birthing person navigating the birth space. This passion led me on the path of becoming a Labor & Delivery Nurse and I have now worked in the field of Maternal Child Health for almost 10 years.

With my profession and experience I expected my transition into motherhood myself would be easy and was served a big piece of humble pie. I had two entirely different pregnancy, birth, and feeding experiences all which taught me so much about myself, and really about the population I had been serving for so many years. I truly believe that my struggles happened so that I could become more aware of the gaps in the system and advocate for improved education + support.  I am committed to helping you feel empowered and supported on your journey- whether it be preparing you for your birth and life with your baby or supporting you through feeding and sleep struggles I will provide you with evidence based information for you to make the choice that is best for your individual family. Every baby is different as well as parenting styles, there is no one size fits all solution, and I would be honored to empower and support you on your journey to finding yours!

Service Area for home visits

*If you are outside this service area and I have room in my schedule, I may be able to travel for an additional fee. Contact me to inquire.

Otherwise, you can book a virtual consult. I see families with low resources virtually all over the USA, and you’d be suprised how helpful virtual visits can be!

Frequently Asked Questions

Lactation: Any breastfeeding consultation is covered 100% if you have the following insurances: Blue Cross PPO, Blue Shield PPO, Anthem PPO, Cigna PPO, Humana PPO and all insurance plans with a PNOA or Multiplan Logo. This includes a prenatal consult, and 5+ additional consultations as needed throughout your feeding journey. Sumbit visit request here.

Support for breastfeeding is a federal law under The Affordable Care Act, so I highly recommend seeking reimbursement if you have a different insurance carrier. A suberbill can be provided to you at your request.

I offer a 20% discount to families who are on NH Medicaid.

Sleep: A feeding assessment is provided for all of my sleep consultations so if you are breastfeeding/pumping exclusively or in combination with formula you can save a portion of the fee if your insurance is accepted via my insurance verification link. See current approved insurances above.

Prenatal Education: classes may also be reimburseable by insurance, so I can provide a superbill at your request.

You can pay for any of my services with Afterpay payment plan, HSA/FSA’s, and hopefully more insurance coverage will be available in the future.

Good question!  I recognize that the name “Mama Coach” can give the impression that I only serve moms, but I am committed to serving ALL families whatever they may look like. I recognize that each family is unique and will continue to ensure it is clear that I am an inclusive provider and that all families are welcome here.

As a Registered Nurse, having merely one method does not align with how I was trained to use the nursing process.

I will assess your child using years of nursing assessment skills and incorporate your parenting styles and goals to determine the best way to help, walking beside you all the way.  You can confidently choose me knowing you have picked a qualified resource to support your family’s journey to more sleep in a way that will feel comfortable for you.

Yes.  As a Registered Nurse, I have years of training on where to access credible guidelines and information. All of The Mama Coach programming is based on extensive research from credible sources and updated as guidelines change from new evidence and recommendations.

It is my professional obligation as a RN & IBCLC to manage client information securely.  I use an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and other systems that are HIPPA compliant. I do not share client information without consent.
